MITRE Corporation’s Leadership Lab is a huge success story for middle managers seeking to grow their leadership competency. The Leadership Lab design includes 5 two day conferences beginning with a comprehensive business simulation where the 42 participants are divided into 6 teams. Each participant is provided feedback on how they “show up” under the stress of the competition from participants and external coaches. Other conference topics include Coaching and Developing of Others, Communicating with Impact, and The Power of Full Engagement. Each participant takes a battery of assessments and is provided an executive coach for the 9 month program.

Brent Brower of HR-DNA is the executive coach for 6 participants.  Brower will also lead the second conference on Coaching and Developing Others as Corporate Coach U’s master facilitator of their Coaching Clinic. The Leadership Lab has been so successful in delivering measurable improvement in the leadership of participants since its inaugural year 2006 that MITRE executives have made it an annual program entering its fifth year in 2010.
